Intuitive sculptural forms in metal

Free flowing, expressive designs.

I take creative risks, combining various techniques, pushing the material, not afraid to distress, melt and start again. Self taught, my free style achieves harmony and balance moving away from classical to intuitive sculptural forms. Reah Lee Sing designs include a wide range of gender neutral, high quality, handmade jewelry in gold, silver and bimetal. No piece of jewelry is duplicated. Custom requests are taken only after extensive discussions with customers.

Lee Sing rings are Jewelry Art
multi- talented Reah Lee Sing launched FENCES, her jewelry exhibition.... a collection of necklaces, bracelets, pendants, earrings and brooches, Lee Sing's rings are poignant in their own right. The artist explained: "The ring has been given the role of observer, the all-seeing eye.
On a literal level, each ring design includes simple creative adaptation of types of fences still commonly found in our communities. Rings here come with names such as Gossip, Wild Flower, Private Rose, Fence Line and Sisters. The work establishes a point from which we each claim our space. Family, group, individual, young and old can identify.
Lee Sing explains that her FENCES jewelry exhibition is a memory project with historical and cultural elements. creates. Elaborating she added: "On one level, FENCES harkens back to my childhood...The fence was more a link than a divide. It hid very little and was a common space for sharing conversation, food and sundry other things both day and night. The porous fence gave a sense of companionship and security all at once. "On another level, the artist is saying that we are part of something greater, no matter which side of the fence we sit or stand. We are equal and we are not alone. These jewelry pieces are wearable art essays and simply beautiful."

Reah Lee Sing is redefining Caribbean chic through her edgy bimetal designs. Designs incorporate strong contrast between folds of shiny metal and raw edges; luscious gems and layers of gold and silver; straight lines and crevices. Consider walking in a garden, seeing colorful flowers, sharp rocks, swirling water, fallen logs, all surrounded by peaceful hills and valleys. One would not expect to find these elements boldly represented in precious metal jewelry. Reah Lee Sing believes that ”... jewellery is not only meant to adorn and to beautify. Although it is an indulgence, it sits on the body of its wearer, compelling us to converse about it, establish new connections, redefine older relationships. And teases both the wearer and viewer’s imagination..."

Imperfection as Beauty

"Like memory, which twists and recreates and is never completely perfect, the pieces here play on the idea of imperfection as beauty"
